The company was established in 1996 and provides translation services specializing in technical, legal, financial, marketing, educational and medical Fields, not only in Greek but also in all European and Asian languages.

Situation
Intertranslations had increased requirements for collaboration, communication, flexibility, security and compliance. The main request was the optimization of the company’s productivity, by reducing the long time for support management, committing funds for the renewal of the existing equipment and flexibility to modify the company’s computing power, tailored to the workload of its customers. Last but not least, the company required fast application implementation and deployment and thus wanted to focus more on development while reducing infrastructure overhead.
Solution
With many years of experience as a leading company in cloud technologies, Office Line recommended the entire transition of the IT infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure Platform. Through the transition, the company ensures all the benefits of the cloud over “on premise” infrastructure. The implementation met the need for a single platform for Intretranslations partners to communicate and collaborate, which has added increased security and greater levels of flexibility in their daily lives, resulting in an increased company’s productivity.
The company’s data center is migrated to a higher protected environment, following a comprehensive approach to migrating Intertranslations datacenter estate.
Specifically:
- Azure landing zone created and a Secure Gateway solution implemented between Azure and on-premises datacenter.
- AD Domain controllers created in Azure.
- 15 WS 2008R2 & 10 WS 2012R VMs rehosted to Azure availability zones.
- 2 SQL Server 2012 VMs rehosted to Azure.
- Storage costs have been decreased with the implementation Azure Secure Cloud Storage.
- Test migration performance verification executed.

Migration Process.
We migrated the application front-end and database VMs to Azure VMs by using
the agentless method of the Azure tools, following the below steps:
- Preparation and setup of Azure components for migration, and preparation of the on-premises virtualization infrastructure.
- Configuration of the replication of the VMs using the Azure tools.
- Replication of the VMs.
- Once replication was enabled and working. We migrated the VM by testing the migration and failing it over to Azure.

Benefits
Within a short time Intertranslations has upgraded and integrated its infrastructure, thus covering most efficiently the increased requirements for operational functionality as well as flexibility and secure cooperation with all departments of the company and its external partners. Particularly, Intertranslations has met its increased requirements for collaboration, security, communication flexibility, optimization and productivity.
